On the bus this morning we stopped at a stoplight beside an older man in a big truck.
The man, who I would otherwise find disagreeable, was trying to quickly eat a toasters strudel. Taking a bite. Squeezing icing on. Watching for the light to change. Repeat. He looked so vulnerable it made me want to hug him.
